Top-up Card
1. What is Top-up Card?
Top-up Card allows you to make very cheap international calls from your mobile or landline with no need to set up an account. The service operates on a pre-pay basis and calls are made using the available credit, which can be topped up on request.
2. How do I buy a card?
Simply text 0158 to 80041 for a £3 call credit
Simply text 0158 to 80550 for a £5 call credit
The text message costs £3 or £5 (charged to you by your mobile provider) and for this we send you a calling card directly to your mobile phone. Your normal standard SMS charge will apply for the request SMS.
3. How do I use Top-up Card?
Simply call the access number included in the confirmation text message, listen to the message, if dialling from a different phone from that which you bought your card from then use the PIN included in the welcome text, enter the full international number - do not press send again. That's it your connected. For queries about the billing procedure please go to the 'How are my calls billed' frequently asked question.
4. What happens when, after dialling my international destination, I hit the send button on my mobile?
Our service works when you call our access number then, at the prompt, key your international destination without pressing send. Our service will recognise that you have completed dialling your destination number and, following a short prompt to inform you of the number of minutes available to your destination, we will connect your call.
If you press send on your mobile, at any time, after dialling the international number you will put the first call (to our service) on hold and will start another call through your mobile provider's service. This will result in your mobile provider charging you for an international call.
So remember, to continue to enjoy low cost international calls from your mobile, DON'T PRESS SEND!
5. What if I have sent a text requesting a top up, but have not received a confirmation message back?
Generally a confirmation message is sent instantaneously, however very occasionally for example at peak times the mobile networks maybe congested which means that the confirmation message maybe delayed. DO NOT resend the message as you will be charged twice. If after a couple of hours and you have not received the confirmation message please contact our customer services team who will be able to identify what the issue is.
6. Are there any administration, subscription or other fees?
Top-up Card can be used to call any destination in the world. A connection charge equal to the outbound rate is applied to each call. An 0800 surcharge is two pence per minute in addition to the outbound rate. 0800 access from a payphone is twenty pence per minute in addition to the outbound rate.
Access via 0845 / 0207 is charged as your service provider's standard rate. Calls charged per minute and rounded to the nearest penny.
7. How much does a call to COUNTRY X cost?
First, choose your country, the price to call that country is then displayed. This is the price per minute for your call and includes VAT and the costs for the international part of the call.
8. Can I use Top-up from payphones?
Our access numbers are accessible from any UK phone, including payphones. However, be aware that calls from payphones could be surcharged and may cost more than the price stated on this website.
9. How are my calls billed?
Your normal standard SMS charge will apply for the request SMS. You will be charged for the premium rate SMS received from 80041 or 80550, £3 or £5 respectively on your mobile phone bill.
You will hear the amount of call credit you have remaining when you use the service. When your credit is low, send another SMS for additional call credit
10. Can I use my credit to call from any phone?
Yes, you can. If you decide to make a call from a phone other than the one you sent your text from, then you will have to use the PIN number supplied in the confirmation text.
Once you have topped up you will not need to use a PIN from that phone as your number will be recognised when using our service. However, once you have topped up from that phone you will not be able to use it with another PIN.
11. Are there peak and off-peak rates?
No, what ever time you call the rate is always the same.
12. How do you keep your rates so low?

* Should you encounter a problem with your telephone bill please contact your provider directly as they set the rates they charge you to our access numbers on
their own billing systems.

example 1833 for Alpha Telecom or 1877 for Onetel) you simply omit this code and dial

lowering certain destinations even further!

change the access number back to its original price.
18. Why don't I get calls to instant access numbers included in my 'inclusive' minutes?
* Many providers only include calls to geographic or mobile destinations
within any 'inclusive' minutes - numbers generally beginning 01, 02, 03 and 07 - as
such numbers like instant access numbers are excluded and will be charged like any
destinations that are not part of the package that you have arranged with your
provider. It is always best to check the rate that your provider charges before you
call.
19. The instant access numbers for my destination is 09; are these expensive?
* 09 numbers are classified as premium rate; however prices for premium rate
numbers vary enormously depending on which number you are ringing. Premium rate number
charges start from as little as 5p/min and can be less than your normal international
rate - this means we can offer the call to you for less!
20. How much can I save using instant access numbers?
* To see how much you can save compared to BT check out BT's price lists -
you'll be pleased you used instant access numbers!
* Not with BT? Just check against the rate on your provider's website -
you'll be amazed at the savings with instant access numbers!
